New Dimension
In line with the Government's strategy for catering for a national disaster such as a terrorist attack or large scale flood, ECFRS has been the recipient of a number of New Dimension vehicles and demountable equipment pods. ECFRS initially received three Prime Movers for Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) oprations and an Incident Response Unit (IRU) for mass decontamination after a chemical attack. The USAR pods were received over a period of time and a fourth and fifth Prime Mover along with a High Volume Pumping Unit (HVPU) and hose pod were delivered in March 2008.
